Andrew Miller has reportedly agreed to terms on a four year 36 million dollar contract sending him to the Yankees. The Yankees have a somewhat strong bullpen with last year's relief pitching WAR leader Dellin Betances (3.7 WAR). Andrew Miller is a strong addition who has had a somewhat up and down career thus far. After Being drafted 6th overall in the 1st round of the 2006 draft Miller struggled in both starting and relief roles for the Tigers and Marlins, but after coming to the Red Sox and being converted to a full time relief role his career has begun to trend up. Last year was his best accumulating a 1.8 WAR with the Red Sox and Orioles. The Yankees will look for him to continue to improve moving forward. |
