NP/O Slideshow
A slideshow that explains the stat and has a team of players who were undervalued in this stat during the 2014 season.
I believe that the stat I created, NP/O, is a key stat in baseball along with WAR (Wins Above Replacement), and I think that knowing both allows you to fully analyze a player because WAR is based on he number of runs a player creates for his team which is VERY important however it does not analyze how much a player contributes to knocking a pitcher out of the game. This is very important because getting to the bullpen early in the game can be help a team a lot. The reason I use this stat possibly even more than WAR even though I do realize WAR is probably a better overall evaluator is because WAR is widely accepted and used in the major league world however NP/O is a brand new stat therefore it can more effectively find unknown and undervalued players.
A table of players 2014 NP/O
This table also includes the team totals.
OAA: The stat at the far right of the table is O/100p above the 2014 average (18.56).
Some of the players (ex. Chone Figgins) had very few at bats so their number is a somewhat inaccurate evaluator.
